Juan Pablo Pazos is a seasoned technology executive, entrepreneur, and regional strategist with over 30 years of experience leading innovation, telecommunications, and IT distribution across Latin America and the Caribbean. As the President and CEO of XmarteK, a company he founded in 2010, Juan Pablo has built one of the region’s leading value-added distributors of enterprise communications solutions, fostering a network of over 500 IT resellers throughout Latin America.

At SERI, Juan Pablo serves as the USA, Canada & LATAM Advisor, offering strategic insight into the social, economic, and technological landscapes across the Americas. His role focuses on strengthening SERI’s regional presence through cross-sector partnerships, ecosystem engagement, and inclusive development strategies. Leveraging his deep knowledge of market dynamics and his extensive network of collaborators, Juan Pablo helps guide SERI’s mission to amplify underrepresented voices and scale sustainable impact through social entrepreneurship.

With a professional journey that spans executive roles at global firms such as 3Com as well as advisory and board positions in education, science, and policy, Juan Pablo brings a multidimensional perspective to SERI’s global advisory team. Juan Pablo holds an MBA from EAFIT/ICESI, a BS in Electrical Engineering from Universidad de los Andes, and has completed executive education at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
